Care of your wooden bowl

To ensure the longevity and optimal condition of your wooden bowl, please adhere to the following care instructions:

Natural wood products are susceptible to damage from extreme heat and moisture. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid placing your bowl near heat sources such as radiators or in direct sunlight. This product is not suitable for use in microwaves, conventional ovens, or dishwashers.

Exposure to wet food for extended periods or prolonged soaking in liquids may compromise the integrity of the bowl.
Your new bowl has undergone a pre-treatment process involving walnut oil, followed by a natural beeswax finish. Over time, re-treatment with oil and wax may be necessary. For this purpose, we recommend using only natural walnut oil and pure beeswax.

Suggested re-treatment method:

  1. Gently wash the bowl in warm water.
  2. Dry thoroughly with a cotton or paper towel.
  3. Apply a small quantity of oil to a cotton cloth and rub it onto the bowl. Alternatively, a clean paintbrush may be used for oil application.
  4. Allow the oil to penetrate, ideally overnight.
  5. Apply a pea-sized amount of beeswax and rub it in a circular motion.
  6. Buff the bowl to a shine with a clean cotton cloth.
